Poland Hosts 2011 League Championships!

On Saturday, July 30, 2011 Poland Swim Club will host

swimmers, coaches, and families from seven Tri-County area swim

teams at thisyear's YSL Championship Meet. In order to make this

event a success,we need all swim team parents and other interested

club members to pitch in and to share their time, talent and treasure.

Even more so than at regular meets, we need dedicated parents and

members to put on a great meet for our area swimmers.

We are currently seeking volunteers to chair or assist with these

aspects of the meet: advertising and programs, meet set-up and logistics,

concessions, and a post-meet worker appreciation party to be

held Saturday evening. If you are interested in filling one of these roles,

please contact one of the three aquatics directors.

In addition to meeting our team's responsibility of providing our

required number of swim meet volunteers (officials, finish judges, clerk

of course, timers, concessions, 50/50, awards, scoring, announcers,

etc.), we will need experienced individuals to supervise meet workers

from all YSL member clubs. We will also need workers to assist with

meet set-up, signage, parking, program sales, T-shirt sales, meet teardown/

clean-up, and more. We will need every swim family to plan on

having at least one parent volunteer.

One of two major sources of income for this meet is concessions.

As we do throughout the regular season, we will need every swim family

to plan on donating food items and/or money.

The other major source of income is advertising and program sales.

Please consider purchasing an ad for your business, a personal ad for

your swimmers, or contributing as an age-group event sponsor. More

information about advertising is posted on the right column.

We anticipate great cooperation among our parent and member

volunteers, PSC board members, managers, lifeguards, and volunteers

from other YSL clubs in order to make the 2011 YSL Championship

Meet a memorable one for all of our area swimmers. We thank you in
